Towel Dry the Right Way!
After washing, slightly towel dry – don’t rub! The friction causes split ends.
Use the Correct Heat Setting!
Avoid the highest heat setting – the air stream should feel comfortable on your skin.
Don’t Get Too Close!
Keep your hairdryer around 8 inches away from your hair throughout the drying process.
Heat Protection is a Must!
Always use heat protection spray and don’t blow-dry dripping wet hair – you’re effectively boiling your hair!
Section Your Hair
Section your hair and work your way up from the hairline to crown – this reduces prolonged heat exposure on one section of your hair.
Blow-Dry from Root to End!
Make sure hair is blow-dried from root to end – this smooths the cuticle layers, meaning healthy, shiny hair for you!
Don’t Increase the Heat!
If you’re in a hurry, increase the dryer speed, not the heat.
Blow-Dry in a Downward Motion
Always blow-dry in a downwards motion and in one direction, this will prevent frizz.
Apply a Stream of Cold Air
At the end of the blow-dry, briefly apply a stream of cool air – this will give your hair more elasticity and lock in shine!
